What if you could add color to a grip? What if a section of a finger grip was soft to the touch? This is where it gets interesting, and GripWorks is capable of supplying you with 2-Shot Injection Molding in the USA! Investment in equipment creates opportunities for multi-color or multi-material parts, even both! The additional options add to the long list of possibilities available from GripWorks.
Our focus for the two-shot process is directed towards our GripWorks division since 2-shot injection molding is often used in grip applications. Consider power tools and the casing surrounding the motor or power source. Often the casing is firm plastic with a handle or grip soft for comfort, yet this is a single unit. Many hand tools have a similar look, touch and feel.

Customization for Your Brand
The uniqueness of the 2-shot injection molded part is the customization, and the benefit derived from this includes precision parts produced quickly and efficiently with minimal finishing work, if any. Branding can be included directly on the part and consistency in the final parts increases the brand value.

Design Expertise
Our equipment and production assets not only lend to the value we provide, but our design expertise ensures we consider the most cost effective and the highest level of performance in our solutions. This includes understanding the purpose of the final part to consider the best material solution.
Materials
Injection molding material options are vast and GripWorks will advise on the best choice of materials to fit the needs of the product. GripWorks is capable of injection molding engineered and commodity resins, as well as thermo plastic elastomers. For more on material choices, visit our materials page.
The two-shot injection molding machines in our GripWorks USA facility are the latest in state-of-the-art technology and energy efficiency. Current capacity at GripWorks includes production of parts up to 9 inches in length for a standard grip, although machines vary. Custom grip designs may effect capacity.
